SSC examinee stabbed in Rajshahi
An SSC examinee, Nandini Ghosh, 16, was stabbed and seriously injured in Rajshahi city. She was rescued and admitted to Rajshahi Medical College Hospital.
The incident took place on Sunday afternoon, June 7, in the area between Talaimari and Kajla in the city.
Nandini is the daughter of Nirmal Ghosh of the Kajla area and a 2026 SSC examinee of Rajshahi Adarsha High School.
According to family sources, Nandini was heading to school with two friends to prepare practical exam papers when several individuals blocked their path near Diamond Tower in the Talaimari Principal Para area. One person attacked her repeatedly with a sharp weapon.
Nandini suffered serious injuries to her hand and one side of her abdomen. The family claims there are injury marks on at least five parts of her body. The attackers fled the scene.
Her friends and locals rescued her and took her to Rajshahi Medical College Hospital, where doctors admitted her and recommended X-rays and ultrasound.
The family has demanded the swift arrest of the attackers and a fair investigation, alleging that the attack was premeditated with the intention of killing.
Motihar Police Station OC Rabiul Islam said police are working to identify and arrest those involved. Steps are being taken to file a case.
