SSC result re-scrutiny applications begin today, continue till August 17

Applications for re-scrutiny of SSC and equivalent examination results begin today, Tuesday, August 11. Students who did not receive their expected marks can apply until August 17. However, there will be no opportunity to apply directly or through written applications at the education board. The entire process must be completed through the designated online portal.

A fee of Tk 150 has been fixed for re-scrutiny per subject. For subjects like Bangla and English that have two papers, applications must be submitted for both papers together. Application fees can be paid online through bKash, Nagad and Sonali Seva. A student can apply for other subjects separately after the first application.

To apply, students must first enter the designated re-scrutiny portal and provide their roll and registration numbers. After selecting the relevant education board, a valid mobile number must be provided. Once the revised results are published after re-scrutiny, the results will be notified via SMS to that number. Students must then select the desired subjects from their subject-wise results and pay the prescribed fee.

There is an opportunity to correct any errors in the selected subjects before fee payment. If necessary, subjects can be changed or new ones selected. However, once the fee is paid, the selected subjects cannot be changed, cancelled or modified. The fee paid will also not be refunded. After payment, the application process is completed by clicking the 'Submit' option on the portal.

Meanwhile, the results of the 2026 SSC and equivalent examinations were published simultaneously across the country on Monday at 10am. Students can access their results through the education board websites, their respective institutions and via SMS on mobile phones. To receive results via SMS, students can send messages to 16140 or 16222. For 16140, students need to type 'SSC', followed by the first three letters of the board name, roll number and 2026.

This year's SSC and equivalent examinations recorded a pass rate of 62.25 percent, the lowest in 19 years. For students who did not receive their desired results, this re-scrutiny opportunity is now considered the last chance to bring about a change in their results.
