SSC results: Pass rate in foreign centres 87.35%
The results of the 2025 Secondary School Certificate (SSC) and equivalent examinations have been officially released today (Thursday), showing a notable decline in the overall pass rate compared to last year.
This year, the national average pass rate stood at 68.45 percent, down from 83.04 percent in 2024. However, the pass rate among students who took the SSC exams abroad remains high at 87.35 percent.
A total of 427 candidates participated in the SSC and equivalent exams from foreign centers, with 373 students passing and 54 failing.
The results were jointly published by the Boards of Intermediate and Secondary Education across the country, including Dhaka, Rajshahi, Cumilla, Jashore, Chattogram, Barishal, Sylhet, Dinajpur, and Mymensingh, along with the Bangladesh Madrasa Education Board and the Bangladesh Technical Education Board.
Unlike previous years, the results were announced without any formal ceremony. Instead, a meeting was held at the Dhaka Education Board office to discuss the outcomes.
Professor Dr. Khondokar Ehsanul Kabir, Chairman of the Bangladesh Inter-Education Board Coordination Committee and the Dhaka Board, spoke about the examination results and related issues during the meeting.
