Storm likely in 17 districts, signal number 1 for river ports
The Meteorological Office has said that gusty winds of up to 60 kilometers per hour may blow in some districts of the country, including the capital, by noon. At the same time, there is a risk of rain or thundershowers.
This information was given in the warning issued by the Meteorological Department for the country's inland river ports from 5 am to 1 pm on Monday (July 20).
It said that temporary gusty or stormy winds of 45 to 60 kilometers per hour may blow from the south or southeast over the regions of Rangpur, Dinajpur, Rajshahi, Pabna, Bogra, Tangail, Mymensingh, Dhaka, Faridpur, Khulna, Barisal, Patuakhali, Cumilla, Noakhali, Chattogram, Cox's Bazar and Sylhet.
There is a possibility of rain or thundershowers in these regions as well. Therefore, river ports in these areas have been asked to display naval warning signal number 1.
