Storms, rain likely in 15 regions, river ports asked to hoist warning signal
The weather office has forecast gusty winds of up to 60 kilometres per hour, accompanied by rain or thundershowers, in several parts of the country by midday on Tuesday, June 16.
A weather bulletin issued by the Bangladesh Meteorological Department for the country's inland river ports from 5:00 am to 1:00 pm said temporary gusty or squally winds of 45-60 kmph, blowing from the east or south-east, may occur over Rangpur, Dinajpur, Rajshahi, Bogura, Tangail, Mymensingh, Dhaka, Khulna, Barishal, Patuakhali, Noakhali, Cumilla, Chattogram, Cox's Bazar and Sylhet regions.
Rain or thundershowers may also occur during this time. Authorities have asked river ports in these areas to hoist warning signal number one.
