The Jatiya Nagarik Committee's Central Joint Member Secretary, Abdullah Al Amin, said, "We aim to establish the party by mid-February, and our efforts in this regard are progressing smoothly."

He said, "We are actively engaging in discussions with student protesters and the general public involved in the movement. The announcement of the new political party is imminent, and its formation will be completed within February."

Abdullah Al Amin shared these remarks with journalists after submitting a memorandum at the Narayanganj District Commissioner's office on Sunday.

Earlier in the morning, leaders and activists of the Jatiya Nagarik Committee marched from the Central Shaheed Minar in Narayanganj to the District Commissioner's office.

Abdullah Al Amin said, "We have submitted a memorandum to the District Commissioner addressing eight major issues. The law and order situation in Narayanganj is worsening, with rising extortion, mugging, and traffic congestion. We discussed these issues, and also highlighted that families of the martyrs are facing legal harassment. We have called on the District Commissioner to take action. Given Narayanganj's role as a major center of the movement, we also demanded the construction of a memorial to honor the martyrs."
