Students demanding the resignation of the Education Minister, rescheduling of the July 13 HSC exam and postponement of the July 15 exam have taken up positions in front of the National Parliament building again, about two and a half hours after being dispersed by police.

On Tuesday night, around 8:15 pm, students gathered at Manik Mia Avenue for the second time and blocked the road. Later, the road from Khamarbari to Asad Gate was also blocked, completely stopping traffic in the area.

Earlier, around 6:30 pm, police charged baton and chased students who had taken up positions in front of the main gate of the Parliament building. At that time, the protesters dispersed but later returned in front of the Parliament building.

A delegation of protesting students entered the Parliament building, but no effective discussion was held with any responsible person, alleged a student of Tejgaon Women's College who was part of the delegation. He claimed that even after asking for a representative, the police lathicharged the students who were outside. Even after waiting for almost two hours, no decision was made on whether the HSC exam will be held on Wednesday.

HSC examinees held protest programs in different areas of the capital throughout the day. After blocking the Science Lab intersection in the afternoon, they took a procession to the National Parliament Building. At the same time, students also blocked the road in front of the Uttara BNS Center.

In the afternoon, students clashed with the police in front of the Haji Muhammad Muhsin Hall of Dhaka University. Later, they went to Nilkhet and took a position in front of the Dhaka Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board. Despite the offer of discussion from the education board, the students rejected it and returned to the Science Lab intersection and continued the program in front of the Parliament Building from there.

Meanwhile, amid the students' protest, an emergency meeting was held with Education Minister ANM Ehsanul Haque Milon at Prime Minister Tarique Rahman's office at around 5:30 pm on Tuesday. Speaking in the National Parliament later that night, the Education Minister expressed regret if anyone was hurt by his personal comments. However, the protesting students said that the program will continue until their three-point demands are met.
