Following the publication of the SSC examination results, students staged a protest and confined the Centre Secretary at Laxmipur Girls' High School in Rajshahi. The confinement took place immediately after the results were declared, over allegations that students were not awarded full 25 marks in the Physical Education practical examination on Monday.

The SSC and equivalent examination results were published simultaneously across the country at 10am on Monday. Following the announcement, several students of Laxmipur Girls' High School and their guardians gathered at the institution to register their complaints regarding low marks, eventually surrounding and confining the Headmaster, who also serves as the Centre Secretary.

According to the aggrieved students, a few students had vandalized a washroom at the school during the SSC examinations. Following the incident, the Headmaster asked the students to pay compensation for the damage.

The students alleged that when they refused to pay the compensation, the Headmaster threatened them with dire consequences. One student claimed that the Headmaster specifically warned them that he would see how they could secure the full 25 marks in the practical exam without paying the money.

Students claimed that upon checking their results after publication, they discovered that they were not given the expected 25 marks in the Physical Education practical exam. Subsequently, they went to the school alongside their guardians, launched a demonstration, and confined the Centre Secretary.
Repeated attempts to contact the Headmaster of Laxmipur Girls' High School over the phone for comments regarding the matter were unsuccessful.
