Students from various educational institutions in Chattogram have protested for the second consecutive day demanding the postponement of HSC examinations in flood-affected areas and the resignation of the Education Minister.

The students gathered at the 2 No. Gate intersection in the city around 3pm on Wednesday (July 15) and began their protest. The area echoed with slogans including "One demand, one point—resignation of the Education Minister."

The protesting students alleged that the decision to hold HSC examinations amid floods and waterlogging was unreasonable and inhumane. They claimed that the Education Ministry took this decision without considering the suffering of students. The Education Minister cannot avoid responsibility for this.

Earlier on Tuesday, students had also protested with the same demands at the 2 No. Gate area of the city. Later, they held a sit-in programme in front of the Chattogram Education Board. At one point, several students opened the main gate of the Education Board and carried it away on their shoulders.
