Suspended HSC, equivalent exams resume in Chattogram region today

Suspended HSC and equivalent examinations in five districts of the Chattogram division will resume today, Thursday, after being halted for more than a month due to flooding and adverse weather.

The Chattogram Education Board’s compulsory English second paper and the Madrasa Education Board’s Alim Bangla second paper will be the first exams held under the revised schedule.

The suspended examinations will be held for candidates in Chattogram, Cox’s Bazar, Rangamati, Bandarban and Khagrachhari. According to the revised schedule, the remaining HSC examinations under the Chattogram Board will continue until September 9.

The English second paper exam will be held today, followed by ICT on August 22. Physics, Accounting and Logic first papers will be held on August 24, with their second papers scheduled for August 27.

Geography first paper and Arabic and Pali first papers will be held on August 29, followed by the respective second papers on August 31.

The revised schedule will continue with Chemistry, Islamic History and Culture, History, Home Management and Family Life, and Production Management and Marketing first papers on September 2. The second papers of those subjects will be held on September 5.

Economics and Engineering Drawing and Workshop Practice first papers are scheduled for September 7, while their second papers on September 9 will conclude the suspended examinations under the Chattogram Board.

Examinations will be held in two shifts. The morning session will run from 10am to 1pm, while the afternoon session will be held from 2pm to 5pm. Candidates must take their seats at least 30 minutes before the start of each examination.

The Chattogram Board suspended the HSC and equivalent examinations in the five districts from July 8 amid flooding and deteriorating weather conditions. Examinations in other education boards continued according to the original schedule.
