Swechhasebak Dal leader killed in bus accident in Chakaria

A leader of the Swechhasebak Dal named Md. Yasin, 22, was killed in a bus accident in the Baritali area of ​​Chakaria upazila of Cox's Bazar. The accident occurred around at the Baritali Notun road on the Chittogram-Cox's Bazar highway 12:30pm on Thursday (April 30).

The deceased Md. Yasin is the son of Md. Alim of Notun Bazar area of ​​Ward No. 6 of Harbang Union. He was serving as the organizing secretary of the union Volunteer Party.

According to local sources, Yasin was returning home from Baritali Bazar on a motorcycle. At that time, an Eagle Paribahan bus coming from behind ran over him and he was seriously injured.

Locals rescued him and sent him to Chittagong. He died there while undergoing treatment.

Officer-in-charge of Chiringa Highway Police Station Md. Ariful Amin said that it was not possible to arrest him as the bus driver fled after the incident. However, the vehicle involved in the accident has been seized and the body of the deceased has been handed over to the family after completing the legal process.
