Tabassum temporarily withdraws herself from all NCP activities
National Citizens Party (NCP) joint convener Nusrat Tabassum has announced that she will temporarily withdraw from all party activities during the election period.
She made this announcement in a post titled ‘I want to briefly explain some issues’ on her Facebook account on Sunday (December 28) night.
She wrote: I want to briefly explain some issues.
NCP showed us our dreams at the time of its birth, balanced practice of democracy, new settlement, moderate inclusive social system, civilization-centered empire expansion and above all Bangladeshism.
I hold all the words in my mind, brain and life, these words are my political dream. Starting from the NCP manifesto to all its literature, this statement is contained in it. This was exactly what I wanted at the time of the formation of NCP.
Today, 28/12/2025, exactly 10 months later, by participating in the 10-party alliance including Jamaat-e-Islami with various conditions, I think the top leaders and policymakers of NCP have themselves deviated from the main message of NCP.
In particular, at various times, we have heard various important officials, starting from the convener, announcing that they will field candidates for 300 seats.
In such a situation, I think that the Trinamool, especially the nominated persons, have been deceived by announcing this alliance.
In view of all these events, I, Nusrat Tabassum, (Joint Convener, Jatiya Nagorik Party), am initially suspending myself from all party activities during the election period. And I announce that any final decision will be taken after reviewing the situation.
