Tabith Awal has been elected as the new president of BFF, receiving 123 votes. His competitor, grassroots organizer FM Mizanur Rahman from Dinajpur, received 5 votes. The election took place from 2 PM to 6 PM. Out of 133 voters, 128 participated, while 5 did not show up. This has been confirmed by the election commission. Chief Election Commissioner Mejbah Uddin officially announced the election of Tabith Awal as president.

বাংলাদেশ ফুটবল ফেডারেশনের (বাফুফে) সভাপতি পদে নির্বাচিত হয়েছেন বাফুফের সাবেক সহ-সভাপতি তাবিথ আউয়াল। নির্বাচনে তিনি ১২৩ ভোট পেয়েছেন। তার প্রতিদ্বন্দ্বী মিজানুর রহমান চৌধুরী পেয়েছেন ৫ ভোট। শনিবার (২৬ অক্টোবর) প্রধান নির্বাচন কমিশনার মেজবাহউদ্দিন সভাপতির ভোটের সংখ্যা জানিয়ে আনুষ্ঠানিক বক্তব্য দিয়েছেন। তিনি জানান, ১৩৩ জন কাউন্সিলরের মধ্যে ১২৮ জন ভোট দিয়েছেন। ভোট দেননি ৫ জন। তাবিথ আউয়াল এর আগে ২০১২ ও ২০১৬ সালে বাংলাদেশ ফুটবল ফেডারেশনের সহ-সভাপতি নির্বাচিত হয়েছিলেন । ২০২০ সালে সহ-সভাপতি পদে টাই হয়েছিল। পুনরায় নির্বাচনে তাবিথ ৪ ভোটে হারেন।
