Tamim regains consciousness
Tamim Iqbal's condition was critical. The chances of him returning from the state he was in were very low. The former national team opener is still not out of danger.
However, the good news is that Tamim Iqbal has regained consciousness and spoken. National Mohammedan Sporting Club official Tariqul Islam Titu confirmed this news to the media. He also said that Tamim spoke to his mother after regaining consciousness.
Meanwhile, Mohammedan manager Sajjad Ahmed Shipon (former national cricketer) is very close to Tamim. He himself was diagnosed with a heart attack a few years ago. Naturally, he is familiar with such illnesses.
Sajjad Ahmed Shipon said that Tamim's chances of returning from the state he was in are very low. With the infinite mercy of Allah and the prayers of his fans and supporters, Tamim is on the path to much improvement from that place.
Earlier, during a Premier League match between Mohammedan and Shinepukur at BKSP No. 3 ground in Savar, Tamim Iqbal suddenly fell seriously ill. After the toss, Tamim told team manager and former cricketer Sajjad Ahmed Shipon, "I feel very bad. My chest hurts."
Shipon and his teammates and officials thought that he might have had a heart attack. An ambulance was called without delay. He was taken to the local KPJ (formerly Fazilatunnesa) Hospital. An angiogram was immediately performed there and it was confirmed that he had a heart block.
At the same time, a helicopter was also called to take him to Evercare Hospital. But since the situation was not good, he could not be taken to the helicopter despite efforts.
