Tanzin Tisha granted bail in saree fraud Case

Actress Tanzin Tisha has secured bail after surrendering before a Dhaka court in a case filed against her over allegations of fraud and breach of trust.

Tisha appeared before Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Md Jewel Rana on Thursday (August 13) and sought bail. After hearing her plea, the court granted her bail, her lawyer Nihar Hossain Faru confirmed to reporters.

The court had earlier ordered Tisha to appear before it on July 12. She subsequently surrendered and sought bail in compliance with the court’s directive.

According to the case statement, Md Aminul Islam, an executive of Aponia Fashion, filed the case against Tisha at a Dhaka court on November 5, 2025.

The complaint alleges that Tisha took a saree worth Tk 28,800 from Aponia Fashion after promising to promote the product and pay its price. The complaint further alleges that she later failed to make the payment and stopped communicating with the company.

The allegations prompted the court to order an investigation by the Dhaka Metropolitan Police’s Detective Branch (DB). Following submission of the investigation report, the court took cognisance of the findings and issued a summons directing Tisha to appear before it.

The bail follows the latest development in the case, while the allegations against the actress remain subject to judicial proceedings.
