Tareque Rahman's wife seeks security from Bangladesh police

Dr. Zubaida Rahman, wife of BNP's acting chairman Tareque Rahman, has requested security for her residence and during her travels in a letter addressed to the Home Secretary and the Inspector General of Police, among other relevant authorities.

The letter, signed by BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia's personal secretary, ABM Abdus Sattar, has been sent to the concerned departments.

On Friday (May 2), a member of BNP's media cell, Shairul Kabir Khan, announced that Dr. Zubaida Rahman, wife of acting chairman Tareq Rahman, will return to the country on May 5 along with BNP Chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia. The letter requesting police protection for her residence on Road 5, Dhanmondi, as well as during her movements, has been submitted to the Home Secretary and the Police IG, signed by Khaleda Zia’s personal secretary, ABM Abdus Sattar.
