Tarique Rahman condemns attack on Hadi

BNP acting chairman Tarique Rahman expressed strong condemnation and outrage over the shooting of Sharif Osman Hadi, spokesperson of Inquilab Mancha and independent candidate for Dhaka-8 constituency.

On Friday, December 12, speaking at the ‘Plan to Build the Country’ discussion programme organised by BNP at the Krishibid Institute auditorium in Khamarbari, the chairman shared his concern. He joined the event virtually from London.

Tarique Rahman said, “Osman Hadi has been critically injured by gunfire in Dhaka’s Paltan area. I strongly condemn this brutal incident.”

He called on the party members, including Chhatra Dal, to cooperate with the government, especially law enforcement agencies, so that a proper investigation can identify the culprits.

It is noted that on Friday afternoon, gunmen shot Sharif Osman Hadi in the Kalvert area of Bijoynagar, Dhaka. He is currently receiving treatment.
