Tarique Rahman coordinated the July movement: Rashed Khan

BNP acting chairman Tarique Rahman coordinated the July mass uprising movement, said Rashed Khan, who recently resigned from the Gono Odhikar Parishad and joined the BNP.

He made the comments while talking to reporters after an important meeting with BNP acting chairman Tarique Rahman in Gulshan on Wednesday (January 7).

Rashed Khan said, 'We carried out the movement following Tarique Rahman's instructions.'

He said that Tarique Rahman has given him the responsibility of Jhenaidah-4 constituency. In this regard, he expressed optimism that the grassroots leaders and activists of the BNP will support him and vote for Tarique Rahman with the paddy sheaf symbol and make him the winner.

'Forgetting all pride and arrogance, all the leaders and activists of the party will work for me under the instructions of Tarique Rahman,' he added.

Regarding the party's unity in Jhenaidah-4 constituency, he said, all BNP leaders and activists will work together to make Paddy Sheaf win by following Tarique Rahman's decision.

He also said that discussions have been held with the acting chairman on this matter. He further said that no one in the party will stand against Paddy Sheaf going beyond Tarique Rahman's instructions.
