Tarique Rahman extends greetings to Hindu community on Durga Puja

On the occasion of Durga Puja, the biggest religious festival of the Sanatan community, BNP’s acting chairman Tarique Rahman has conveyed greetings to Sanatan communities in Bangladesh and across the world.

In a video message circulated on social media on Monday, September 29, he extended his wishes on the occasion of Sharadiya Durgotsab.

In the message, Tarique Rahman said: “On behalf of the BNP, the party of Bangladesh’s pro-democracy people, I extend greetings on the occasion of Durga Puja to the country’s Hindu community, irrespective of religion or identity.”

Calling upon the Sanatan community, he added: “Celebrate the festival across the country with joy, enthusiasm and a sense of security. Spread the message of harmony and togetherness. I and my party, BNP, firmly believe that religion is one’s own, but the state belongs to all. Religion is one’s own, but the right to security belongs to all.”
