BNP Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman has extended greetings to Muslims in Bangladesh and around the world on the occasion of Eid-e-Miladunnabi, commemorating the birth of the Prophet Hazrat Muhammad (PBUH).

In a message issued on Friday (September 5), Tarique described the occasion as a time to reflect on the life and teachings of the Prophet, who he called "a mercy for the entire world" and "the greatest gift from Allah."

"The arrival of the greatest human being on earth, Prophet Hazrat Muhammad (PBUH), brought light to mankind, liberating it from the darkness of injustice, oppression, and ignorance," the message read.

He highlighted the Prophet’s exemplary qualities—honesty, courage, patience, devotion, and commitment to justice—as guiding principles for humanity. "Through his tireless efforts and sacrifices, he established the divine message of Tawheed and laid the foundation for truth and fairness," he said.

Tarique also reflected on the Prophet’s role in transforming a time marked by lawlessness and social injustice, saying, "During the age of ignorance, he emerged as Rahmatul-lil-Alamin and brought forth a message of peace, justice, and human dignity."

He called on Muslims to embody the values and ideals of the Prophet in their personal and collective lives. "Let us pledge to follow his teachings, uphold justice, and work toward building a society based on truth and compassion," he added.

Eid-e-Miladunnabi will be observed across the country on Friday with religious solemnity.
