Tarique Rahman inaugurates Free Animal Clinic in Banani
BNP Chairperson and Chief Patron of BAWA, Tarique Rahman, has inaugurated a 'Free Animal Clinic' aimed at providing free medical treatment for animals.
The clinic, established by the Bangladesh Animal Welfare Association (BAWA), was inaugurated at Building 18, Road 24 (Lakeside), K Block, Banani, in the capital on Wednesday afternoon, February 11. Following the inauguration, Tarique Rahman toured various rooms of the clinic.
BAWA stated that they are working with the goal of making the country a safe habitat for all animals. Along with raising awareness about animal and nature conservation, the organisation also operates a free ambulance service to provide emergency care for injured and sick animals in Dhaka city.
BAWA leaders said this new clinic will ensure free medical treatment for stray animals and various other creatures. If injured or sick animals can be brought under treatment quickly, their mortality rate will decrease. They also hope that public participation and awareness regarding animal protection will further increase.
The organisation informed that this Free Animal Clinic, established under BAWA's initiative, will work to provide medical services to animals free of cost.
