Tarique Rahman launches BNP's election campaign

Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) Chairman Tarique Rahman has started his official campaign for the 13th National Parliament elections by seeking votes with a paddy sheaf.

He launched the campaign from his in-laws' house in Silam Union of Dakshin Surma Upazila of Sylhet at 1 am on Wednesday (January 21). At that time, great enthusiasm could be seen among the local leaders and supporters.

During the campaign, Tarique Rahman said that according to the rules of the Election Commission, now is the opportunity to officially seek votes with the sheaf of paddy symbol. He called on everyone to unite and make the sheaf of paddy victorious.

He said, 'After many days, after many years, Dr. Zubaida Rahman, a child of your area, and I have come home. Today, when your daughter has come, you will have to protect her honor. It is your responsibility to protect your daughter's honor. And that honor will be ensured only when the sheaf of paddy is victorious here.'

He asked the crowd present whether they could make the paddy sheaf victorious from this area, from Biraimpur, and from South Surma. In response to this question, the crowd present assured to vote for the paddy sheaf.
