BNP Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman said that if the party comes to power, it will ensure development according to the people’s demands and prevent conspiracies against the nation.

He made the remarks virtually while addressing the second session of the Thakurgaon District BNP biennial conference at Balok High School grounds on Monday (September 8).

Tarique Rahman outlined that the country would be reconstructed based on BNP’s 31-point plan announced two and a half years ago.

He criticized the current government, alleging destruction of accountability and electoral systems, political violence, corruption, and suppression of democracy.

He emphasized that BNP has clear policies for the education, health, culture, and agriculture sectors and pledged to restructure key systems, support farmers, reduce unemployment, and address women’s issues.

The biennial conference was inaugurated by BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir. Vice Chairman Shamsuzzaman Dudu, Organizing Secretary Asadul Habib Dulu, District BNP General Secretary Mirza Faisal Amin, and other leaders also spoke at the conference.

During the conference, Mirza Faisal Amin and Md. Paygam Ali were elected President and General Secretary, respectively.
