Tarique Rahman reaches Dhaka

BNP Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman reached Dhaka on Thursday as the Bangladesh Biman flight carrying him landed at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport at 11:40am.

Senior BNP leaders, including Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir and Amir Khasru Mahmud Chowdhury, were present at the airport to receive him.

Meanwhile, a large crowd of party leaders and supporters gathered at the reception venue on the 300 Feet road in Purbachal, where people from different parts of the country assembled to welcome the BNP leader.

Tarique Rahman returned to Bangladesh after 6,314 days. During a stopover, he remained on board the aircraft.

Earlier in the day, he shared updates on Facebook, posting a smiling photo with his wife at 10:18am, writing: “Finally in Sylhet, on the soil of Bangladesh!”

In another post at 9:34am, he wrote: “After 6,314 long days, back in the skies of Bangladesh.”
