Tarique Rahman to visit Sirajganj today

BNP Chairperson Tarique Rahman is scheduled to visit Sirajganj on Saturday (January 31) as part of his nationwide campaign ahead of the 13th national parliamentary elections.

He will address an election rally as the chief guest around 2:00pm at the BSCIC Industrial Park in the Paikpara area of Sirajganj Sadar upazila.

The rally is being organised as part of BNP’s ongoing election tour covering the Rajshahi and Rangpur divisions.

At the event, the BNP chairperson is expected to formally introduce the party’s nominated candidates for all six parliamentary constituencies in Sirajganj district.

Confirming the programme, Sirajganj district BNP’s Information and Research Affairs Assistant Secretary and Media Cell Member Secretary M Dulal Uddin Ahmed said the party and its affiliated organisations have made extensive preparations to ensure the rally’s success.

Meanwhile, Saidur Rahman Bachchu, general secretary of Sirajganj district BNP and chief coordinator of the district’s election management committee, said enthusiasm among party leaders and activists is high ahead of Rahman’s visit.

“All preparations have been completed. Leaders and activists of BNP and its associate bodies have been instructed to work actively at the grassroots level,” he said, expressing hope for a large turnout of party supporters and local residents at the rally.
