Tarique Rahman’s Rajshahi rally postponed to Thursday
BNP chairman Tarique Rahman’s scheduled rally in Rajshahi has been postponed by a day and will now take place on Thursday (January 29), instead of January 28.
Rajshahi Sadar BNP candidate and former chairperson’s advisor Mizanur Rahman (Minu) confirmed the change, citing unavailability of flight tickets on the original date.
According to the new schedule, Tarique Rahman will address the rally at Haji Mohammad Mohsin Government School Ground (the historic madrasa field) at 12:30pm. Supporters from 13 constituencies across Rajshahi, Natore, and Chapainawabganj are expected to attend.
A preparatory meeting was held at Minu’s residence on Saturday night, where party leaders decided that the rally would be one of the largest and most historic in the region.
Minu emphasised that the date change was solely due to flight ticket issues, with no other factors affecting the schedule.
