Tarique Rahman’s visit sparks political buzz in Bogura
BNP Chairman Tarique Rahman’s visit to Shajahanpur Upazila sparked a wave of enthusiasm among party activists and supporters ahead of his scheduled roadshow in Majhira under Bogura-7 (Shajahanpur–Gabtoli) constituency.
Supporters from across the upazila began arriving early, joining processions along the Dhaka–Bogura highway, carrying party flags, banners, and festoons. The gathering created a charged political atmosphere and slowed traffic along the major route.
According to party sources, Tarique Rahman spent Friday night in Bogura after a rally in Rangpur and headed to Majhira for the roadshow. By late morning, BNP leaders, activists, and affiliated group members were already assembled at the venue, displaying significant organisational mobilisation and party discipline.
Local BNP officials said the roadshow aims to energise the party base ahead of upcoming elections, emphasising grassroots engagement and voter outreach in Shajahanpur and Gabtali. Volunteers helped maintain order, while law enforcement remained on alert to ensure a peaceful event.
The party expects Tarique Rahman’s appearance to strengthen momentum among supporters and send a clear political signal of BNP’s presence and organisational strength in the region.
