TCB to start selling goods from Sunday

The state-owned Trading Corporation of Bangladesh (TCB) will begin selling commodities in Dhaka metropolitan area through 60 mobile trucks starting Sunday, in addition to its regular services.

According to a press release, TCB is currently offering edible oil, sugar, and lentils at subsidized prices to Smart Family Card holders.

From August 10 to September 13, 2025, for 30 days excluding Fridays, these mobile trucks will continue sales operations carrying TCB products.

Besides Dhaka, 25 trucks will continue sales in Chattogram Metropolitan City, followed by 6 trucks in Gazipur Metropolitan City, 3 in Cumilla Metropolitan City, 8 in Dhaka District, 12 in Cumilla District, 4 in Faridpur District, 5 in Patuakhali District, and 5 in Bagerhat District from August 10 to August 31, 2025, for 19 days excluding Fridays.

Each truck will sell commodities at affordable prices to 500 people daily. Any consumer can buy products directly from these trucks.

The prices are set as follows: 2 liters of edible oil for Taka 230, 1 kg of sugar for Taka 80, and 2 kg of lentils for Taka 140.

Prices for Smart Family Card holders will stay the same as before.
