Education Minister Dr A N M Ehsanul Haque Milon has said if any teacher is found engaged in another profession without permission, necessary administrative and legal action will be taken against them after investigation.

He made the remarks while responding to various questions from journalists after a law and order committee meeting in Kachua upazila, Chandpur, on Friday afternoon, February 27.

The minister said teaching is a noble and responsible profession. To ensure quality education for students, teachers must dedicate their full time and attention to educational institution activities. If anyone engages in another profession violating government rules, it may harm the education system.

The Education Minister further said if allegations of negligence, irregularities or corruption at any educational institution are reported, the media may publish them. After receiving reports through media or other channels, the matter will be verified, and if proven true, strict action will be taken against those concerned.

He said the government is firm in ensuring discipline and accountability in educational institutions. No one is above the law. All necessary steps will be taken to protect the educational environment.

Various administration officials, public representatives and political activists were present at the time.
