Teen raped, murdered after grandmother killed in Pabna

A 15-years-old girl raped and killed after killing her grandmother at Ishwardi in Pabna.

The incident took place in Bhabanipur Uttarpara village of Dashuria union of the upazila at the late Friday night (February 27).

The deceased-Jamila Akter and Sufia Khatun, wife of local resident Nazimuddin, found dead in this morning.

According to family source, they heard cries in the middle of the night and went outside, but returned when the noise stopped. In the morning, Sufia Khatun’s bloodied body was found in the courtyard, and Jamila’s naked body was later recovered from a nearby mustard field.

Md. Mominuzzaman, officer-in-charge (OC) of Ishwardi Police Station, confirmed that the police recovered both bodies in the morning.

"An investigation is underway to determine the motive behind the killings," the OC said.
