Teenage boy wearing burqa held from Jamalpur school

A 16-year-old teenager wearing a burqa has been detained at Patadah Koyra High School in Madarganj upazila of Jamalpur.

He was captured after he was seen suspiciously moving around the common room area.

The incident took place on Wednesday (February 4) morning in the school premises.

The teenager is said to be a former student of Patadah Koyra High School.

School sources said that the students became suspicious after seeing a person wearing a burqa moving around suspiciously inside the school in the morning. When his behavior and movements seemed unusual, the students detained him and informed the teachers. Later, the teachers came, removed the burqa and found that the teenager was a boy.

The school's headmaster Md. Zahurul Islam confirmed the matter and said that the teenager studied in the eighth grade at this school last year. Later, he changed schools and got admitted to Jonail High School. However, details are not yet known about the purpose for which he entered the school wearing a burqa.

Madarganj Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Shaker Ahmed said that the police quickly reached the spot after receiving the information. Legal action will be taken if any complaint is received in this incident.
