Tejgaon, Paltan model police station OCs withdrawn for administrative reasons
The officers-in-charge (OCs) of Dhaka Metropolitan Police's (DMP) Tejgaon and Paltan Model police stations have been withdrawn from their posts for administrative reasons.
The decision was announced in separate orders signed by DMP Commissioner Mosleh Uddin Ahmed on Saturday (August 22).
The two officers are Police Inspector (Unarmed) Kyashainu, OC of Tejgaon Police Station, and Police Inspector (Unarmed) Mohammad Mostofa Kamal Khan, OC of Paltan Model Police Station.
Under the orders, both officers have been relieved of their respective station duties and attached to the DMP Central Reserve Office, Headquarters and Administration Division.
The withdrawals will take effect from Sunday (August 23). From that date, neither officer will continue to serve as OC of their respective police station.
The orders did not specify the reasons behind the administrative decision, nor did the DMP immediately announce who would replace the two officers.
DMP sources said changes and reshuffles among police station officials are carried out periodically as part of the force's administrative arrangements.
