Temperature drops to 13°C in Kurigram
Cold conditions are intensifying in the northern border district of Kurigram. Dense fog is forcing many vehicles to run with headlights on even during the day. The district’s temperature has dropped to 13.5 degrees Celsius.
At 6am on Monday, December 1, the lowest temperature of 13.5 degrees Celsius was recorded, confirmed Subol Chandra Sarkar, acting officer of the Rajarhat Meteorological Office.
Chilly winds have been blowing since dawn, increasing fog density. The cold is especially felt during the early morning and late night hours. The worst affected are destitute and labouring people.
Subol Chandra Sarkar of the Rajarhat office said that fog is now appearing daily and colder days lie ahead.
