Tension between two police stations over jurisdiction after cocktail blasts in Karwan Bazar

Two cocktails exploded at the Karwan Bazar junction in the capital at around 7.30pm on Sunday. No one was injured, but Tejgaon and Kalabagan police stations blamed each other over which station the spot falls under.

Tejgaon police claimed that the blast occurred under Kalabagan police station.
Kalabagan police station’s OC Moniruzzaman Khan said, “The location is not ours, it falls under Tejgaon.”

Tejgaon police station’s inspector investigation Ashiq Iqbal also said, “This does not fall within our area.”
