Thailand increases visa fees for Bangladeshi travelers
The Royal Thai Embassy in Dhaka has announced a hike in visa fees for Bangladeshi nationals, effective from September 1, 2025. The increase comes in response to the depreciation of the Bangladeshi Taka, the embassy stated on Wednesday (August 6).
In an official statement, the embassy said that applicants who complete payment by August 31, 2025, will be charged under the current fee structure. From September 1 onwards, all applicants must pay according to the revised rates.
According to the new rates, the fee for a single transit visa is Tk 3,600, double entry visa Tk 7,200, tourist visa Tk 4,500, and multiple tourist visa Tk 22,500. The fee for a one-year non-immigrant visa has been set at Tk 22,500 . Additionally, the fees for O-X visas, Destination Thailand visas, and long-term resident visas have been increased significantly compared to before.
Passport issuance and other legalization fees have been newly set within the range of Tk 2,000 to Tk 6,800.
From September 1, an online payment system will be introduced, allowing applicants to pay visa fees through Commercial Bank of Ceylon and Eastern Bank Limited.
The embassy cautioned that all payments must be made in full and in one transaction. Partial or incorrect payments will not be accepted, and no refunds will be issued for any submitted fees.
The statement also noted that further adjustments to service fees are being considered and will be announced in due course.
