There is no greater grief than losing a child: Rizvi
BNP Senior Joint Secretary General Ruhul Kabir Rizvi on Friday visited the family of Nazia and Nafee, two siblings who tragically died in a recent plane crash. The siblings, both students of Milestone School in Uttara, were among the victims of the incident that has deeply shocked the nation.
Rizvi went to the family’s residence in Turag, Dhaka, on behalf of BNP’s Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman, to offer condolences and express solidarity with the grieving family.
During the time Rizvi said, “There is no greater grief than losing one’s children,”. “Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman has been keeping constant contact and is closely monitoring the situation since the tragedy occurred. We will inform the appropriate authorities to ensure the children's graves remain undisturbed.”
During the emotional meeting, the father of the deceased, Ashraful Alam, broke down in tears and requested that no one be buried over his children’s graves, even after two years.
The visit was marked by solemnity and quiet mourning as family members and well-wishers gathered to remember the young lives lost.
Among those accompanying Rizvi were Dr. Shariful Islam, Registrar at the National Institute of Burn and Plastic Surgery; Zahidul Alam Hito, Joint Convenor of the Jatiyatabadi Samajik Sangskritik Sangstha (JASAS); Dr. Touhidur Rahman Auwal, Vice President of the Central Chhatra Dal; and Dr. Muntasir, Dr. Taseen, and Dr. Musaddiq from Uttara Adhunik Medical College.
The plane crash, which claimed the lives of several passengers including the two Milestone School students, has sparked widespread grief and calls for improved aviation safety measures.
