'Those who announcing political programmes are responsible for sabotaging'

Railways Minister Nurul Islam Sujan on Tuesday said that incidents of sabotage on trains are being orchestrated by those announcing political programmes in the name of the movement.

He came up with the remark at a press conference at the railway headquarters in the capital on Tuesday. The minister said railway operations have been under threat. Most of the railway line's faceplates have been removed in the Chattagram area. These are not actually thefts, these are vandalism.

Nurul Islam said that if a passenger enters the train and sets fire to the train, it is not possible for the railway to provide security there. However, security is being increased in the railways. 2,700 Ansar have been requested to the Ministry of Home Affairs. They will be available within this week. Since October 28, there have been 5 acts of sabotage.
