Thousands of people are staging demonstrations in Chattogram demanding the arrest and trial of the killers of lawyer Saiful Islam Alif who killed in a clash between police and ISKCON activists in Chattogram on Tuesday. The protest began at the Tiger Pass intersection in the port city on Wednesday (November 27) afternoon. The protesters raised various slogans demanding the speedy arrest of lawyer Saiful's killers and the highest possible justice. Earlier in the morning, the first namj-e-janaza of lawyer Alif was held at the Chattogram court premises and the second at Jamiatul Falah Mosque ground. Later, thousands of people who attended namaj-e-janaza gathered at the Tiger Pass intersection and started a protest.

চট্টগ্রামে পুলিশ ও আইনজীবীদের সঙ্গে চিন্ময় কৃষ্ণের অনুসারীদের সংঘর্ষে নিহত হন আইনজীবী সাইফুল ইসলাম আলিফ। এ ঘটনায় দোষীদের গ্রেপ্তার ও বিচারের দাবিতে বিক্ষোভ করছেন হাজারো মানুষ। জানা গেছে, বুধবার (২৭ নভেম্বর) দুপুরে নগরীর টাইগারপাস মোড়ে এই বিক্ষোভ শুরু হয়। এ সময় বিক্ষোভকারীরা আইনজীবী সাইফুলের হত্যাকারীদের দ্রুত গ্রেপ্তার এবং সর্বোচ্চ বিচারের দাবিতে বিভিন্ন স্লোগান দেন। এর আগে সকালে চট্টগ্রাম আদালত চত্বরে প্রথম ও জমিয়তুল ফালাহ মসজিদ মাঠে আইনজীবী আলিফের দ্বিতীয় জানাজা অনুষ্ঠিত হয়। পরে তার জানাজায় অংশ নেয়া হাজারো মানুষ টাইগারপাস মোড়ে জড়ো হয়ে বিক্ষোভ শুরু করেন।
