Three die with measles symptoms in 24 hours, death toll reaches 498

Three more people have died from measles-like symptoms across the country in the last 24 hours, according to a message from the Directorate General of Health Services on Monday, June 1. The figures cover the period from 8 am on Sunday to 8 am on Monday.

In the last 24 hours, 1,134 suspected measles cases were detected. Since March 15, a total of 72,070 suspected cases have been recorded.

Confirmed measles cases in the last 24 hours stood at 45, bringing the total since March 15 to 9,094.

A total of 57,902 suspected measles patients have been hospitalised since March 15, of whom 53,722 have recovered and been discharged.

Three suspected measles deaths were recorded in the last 24 hours. Since March 15, a total of 498 people have died from suspected measles.

No confirmed measles deaths were recorded in the last 24 hours. Since March 15, 90 people have died from confirmed measles.
