Three more Bangladeshi Hajj pilgrims die in Saudi Arabia, death toll rises to 30
Three more Bangladeshi Hajj pilgrims have died in Makkah while performing the holy Hajj, bringing the total number of Bangladeshi deaths during this year's pilgrimage to 30 .
The information was confirmed through the Hajj bulletin on Tuesday, May 26 . According to official data, among the deceased, 21 are men and nine are women .
The three latest victims have been identified as Md Afran Ali from Shibganj, Chapainawabganj; Md Abdul Rahman from Kazipur, Sirajganj; and Md Harun-ur-Rashid from Raipura, Narsingdi. Authorities have confirmed that all three died of natural causes in Makkah .
Today, the ninth of Zil Hajj (Tuesday), hundreds of thousands of devout Muslims are performing the main rituals of the holy Hajj. The plain of Arafat resounds with the chant of 'Labbaik Allahumma Labbaik'. Over two million pilgrims from around the world have gathered at Arafat since after Fajr prayers .
A total of 79,164 Bangladeshi pilgrims are performing Hajj this year, including 4,464 under government management and 73,926 under private management.
