Three more die from dengue in 24 hours, 458 hospitalised
Three more people have died from dengue in the past 24 hours across the country. During this period, another 458 patients have been hospitalised. The Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) provided this information in a dengue bulletin on Sunday (July 26).
According to the bulletin, in the past 24 hours, 99 patients were admitted in Barishal division, 78 in Chattogram division, 15 in Dhaka division (outside city corporations), 81 in Dhaka North City Corporation, 76 in Dhaka South City Corporation, 48 in Khulna division, 25 in Mymensingh division, 26 in Rajshahi division and 10 in Rangpur division.
The DGHS said a total of 13,098 people have been infected with dengue so far this year, of whom 6,994 have been hospitalised in July alone.
The DGHS also said 43 people have died from dengue this year so far, of whom 25 died in July. Additionally, two died in January, two in February, one in May and 13 in June.
