Thunderstorms expected in various districts including Dhaka

The Meteorological Department has said that thunderstorms are likely to occur in various parts of the country including Dhaka today (March 22) and tomorrow.

The weather forecast for the next 72 hours from 9am on Saturday (March 22) has said that today, there may be temporary gusty or gusty winds, lightning, rain or thundershowers at one or two places in Rangpur, Rajshahi, Dhaka, Mymensingh, Khulna, Barishal, Chattogram and Sylhet divisions. The day temperature may remain almost unchanged across the country and the night temperature may decrease slightly.

The forecast also said that there may be temporary gusty or stormy winds, lightning, rain or thundershowers at one or two places in Rangpur, Rajshahi, Dhaka, Mymensingh, Khulna, Barishal, Chattogram and Sylhet divisions on Sunday. The day temperature may remain almost unchanged across the country and the night temperature may decrease slightly.

In addition, there may be temporary gusty or stormy winds, lightning, rain or thundershowers at one or two places in Sylhet division on Monday. The weather may remain mainly dry with temporarily partly cloudy skies elsewhere in the country. The day and night temperatures may increase slightly across the country.

However, the forecast for the next five days says that day and night temperatures may gradually increase across the country.
