Thunderstorms likely in all divisions

Due to the influence of the normal seasonal low pressure over the country, there is a possibility of rain or thunderstorms in all divisions of the country. Hailstorms may also occur in some places, the Meteorological Department said.

The Meteorological Office said temporary rain or thunderstorms accompanied by gusty winds may occur in different parts of the country till 6 pm on Tuesday (April 15). There is also a possibility of hailstorms in some areas.

The forecast also states that the mild heat wave sweeping through several districts of the country, including Sandwip and Sitakunda in Chattogram, Tangail, Narayanganj, and Madaripur, may subside in some areas.

Thunderstorms accompanied by gusty winds may occur in various parts of the country until next Saturday (April 19). There is also a risk of scattered hailstorms in some places until Thursday (April 17).

The extended 5-day forecast says that the rainfall trend may decrease towards the end of this period and the temperature may increase slightly.
