Tk 15 crore yaba seized from Prado in Cumilla, 2 held

Cumilla district police have seized 300,000 yaba pills from a luxury Prado vehicle, marking one of the largest seizures in the district. Two people in the vehicle were arrested.

The seizure took place around 12pm on Monday on the Dhaka-Chattogram highway in Cumilla Sadar upazila. The seized yaba is estimated to be worth around Tk 15 crore.

The arrestees were identified as Faisal Hossain, 25, and driver Aman Ullah, 35, both from Cox's Bazar's Chakaria upazila.

Cumilla DB Police OC Shamsul Alam Shah confirmed the matter. Cumilla Police Superintendent Md Anisuzzaman said the white Prado was stopped based on secret information, and the yaba consignment was recovered from a luggage compartment. The two are being interrogated.
