Police have arrested top snatcher Rubel alias ‘Pangkha Rubel’ from the capital’s Adabor area. He was arrested in a raid in the Shekhertek area of ​​Adabor police station around 8:30am on Friday (May 8). Police said that the arrested Rubel is an accused in two warrant cases of Adabor police station. There are a total of 9 cases against him related to robbery, banditry, extortion and drugs. Besides, he is known as the second-in-command of the teenage gang ‘Rakto Chosha Johnny Group’ of Shekhertek area. Confirming the matter, Additional Deputy Commissioner of Tejgaon region of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) Jewel Rana said that such raids will continue to maintain the law and order situation.

রাজধানীর আদাবর এলাকা থেকে তালিকাভুক্ত শীর্ষ ছিনতাইকারী রুবেল ওরফে ‘পাংখা রুবেল’কে গ্রেপ্তার করেছে পুলিশ। শুক্রবার (৮ মে) সকাল সাড়ে ৮টার দিকে আদাবর থানার শেখেরটেক এলাকায় অভিযান চালিয়ে তাকে গ্রেপ্তার করা হয়। পুলিশ জানায়, গ্রেপ্তারকৃত রুবেল আদাবর থানার দুটি পরোয়ানাভুক্ত মামলার আসামি। তার বিরুদ্ধে ছিনতাই, দস্যুতা, চাঁদাবাজি ও মাদক সংক্রান্ত মোট ৯টি মামলা রয়েছে। এছাড়া তিনি শেখেরটেক এলাকার কিশোর গ্যাং ‘রক্ত চোষা জনি গ্রুপ’-এর সেকেন্ড-ইন-কমান্ড হিসেবে পরিচিত। বিষয়টি নিশ্চিত করে ঢাকা মহানগর পুলিশের (ডিএমপি) তেজগাঁও অঞ্চলের অতিরিক্ত উপকমিশনার জুয়েল রানা বলেন, আইনশৃঙ্খলা পরিস্থিতি স্বাভাবিক রাখতে এ ধরনের অভিযান অব্যাহত থাকবে।
