Top Thai Brands 2026, Thai Gourmet Gala to begin in Dhaka July 23
A three-day exhibition, "Top Thai Brands 2026" and "Thai Gourmet Gala Volume 3," will be held in the capital from July 23 to 25, offering visitors an opportunity to experience Thailand's products, culture and culinary heritage.
The event will take place at the Grand Ballroom and Café Bazar Restaurant of Pan Pacific Sonargaon Dhaka. The announcement was made at a press conference held at the hotel on Monday (July 20).
According to the organisers, this year's Top Thai Brands 2026 marks the 21st edition of the exhibition, organised by the Commercial Affairs Office of the Royal Thai Embassy in Dhaka. The fair will remain open to visitors daily from 10:00am to 8:00pm.
Speaking at the press conference, Anusorn Kautipbittaya, Minister Counsellor (Commercial) of the Royal Thai Embassy in Dhaka, said the event would further strengthen bilateral relations, enhance trade and promote people-to-people connectivity between Bangladesh and Thailand.
"Bangladesh is one of Thailand's most important trading partners in South Asia. Our objective is not only to showcase Thai products but also to expand and ensure sustainable trade cooperation between the two countries," he said.
The organisers said 57 companies are participating in this year's exhibition. In addition to leading Thai companies, their Bangladeshi importers and agents will also take part. Products on display will include food and beverages, hospitals and healthcare services, wellness products, fashion, beauty and cosmetics, construction materials, chemicals and lubricants, stationery, and baby care products.
One of the major attractions of the event will be the Business Matchmaking Session, where Thai companies will meet directly with Bangladeshi importers, distributors, business leaders and prospective partners. Organisers expect the meetings to create new business opportunities and further strengthen existing commercial ties between the two countries.
Alongside business activities, visitors will enjoy a variety of cultural and entertainment programmes, including traditional Thai dance performances, Muay Thai (Thai boxing) demonstrations, fashion shows and raffle draws.
The official inauguration will be held at 1:00pm on July 23 at the Grand Ballroom, with Commerce Minister Khandaker Abdul Muqtadir expected to attend as the chief guest.
At the same time, the Thai Gourmet Gala Volume 3 will be held at the hotel's Café Bazar Restaurant with support from the Commercial Wing of the Royal Thai Embassy. The food festival will offer visitors authentic Thai cuisine along with an immersive cultural experience.
The festival will feature renowned celebrity chef Brungtana Nimnu from Chiang Mai, Thailand, who has earned international recognition for promoting Thai cuisine around the world. She also gained global attention after overseeing the Thai culinary experience at the wedding celebrations of Anant Ambani, son of Indian business tycoon Mukesh Ambani.
Guests will be able to enjoy a wide selection of authentic Thai dishes during buffet lunch, brunch and dinner. Selected bank cardholders will receive special promotional offers of up to "Dine 4, Pay 1." The festival will also feature live Thai folk dance performances, raffle draws, complimentary swimming pool access with buffet brunch, and a "Make Your Own Pizza" activity for children.
Pan Pacific Sonargaon Dhaka expressed its gratitude to the Royal Thai Embassy in Bangladesh, Thai Ambassador Thitiporn Chirasawadi, Minister Counsellor (Commercial) Anusorn Kautipbittaya, Mutual Trust Bank, Thai Airways, and Coca-Cola Bangladesh Limited for their support in organising the event.
According to the organisers, the combination of trade, culture and gastronomy will further strengthen the longstanding bilateral relationship between Bangladesh and Thailand.
