Top-listed criminal Subrata Bain arrested in Kushtia

Top-listed criminal Subrata Bain was arrested during a three-hour operation conducted by the army in the Kalishankarpur area of Kushtia town on Tuesday (May 27). He was arrested along with one of his associates.

A reliable source from the army in Dhaka confirmed the matter.

Subrata Bain was widely known as the leader of the so-called ‘Seven Star’ gang. Police records list his full name as Trimati Subrata Bain.

He had long-standing ties to Dhaka's underworld and was previously imprisoned in India for a period of time. His ancestral home is in Jobarpur village, under Agoiljhara police station in Barishal.

His father, Bipul Bain, worked as a driver for an NGO. His mother, Kumolini, along with his three sisters—Mary, Cherry, and Pori—lived in a rented house in the Moghbazar area of Dhaka. Subrata is the eldest among the siblings.
