Trading thru Bhomra port to remain suspended for 7 days during Durga Puja

Import and export operations through Bhomra Land Port in Satkhira will remain suspended for seven days, from Saturday, September 27 to Friday, October 3, in observance of Durga Puja.

However, passenger movement through the port will continue as usual.

Abu Musa, general secretary of the Bhomra C&F Agents Association, confirmed that the suspension was officially communicated by the Indian Ghojadanga Importers and Exporters Association, with mutual agreement from both sides.

Immigration Officer-in-Charge stated that passenger movement will remain operational daily from 7:00am to 6:00pm.

Revenue official Tohiduzzaman also confirmed the information.

Local traders said they accept the temporary inconvenience as a gesture of cross-border goodwill during the festival.
