Vehicular movement resumed on the Dhaka-Bhanga Expressway in front of the Padma Bridge on Thursday at 10:30am. At the same time, the blockade was also lifted from the Suadi bus stand area of ​​Bhanga upazila of Faridpur on the Dhaka-Khulna highway. The leaders and activists of Awami League , who had been blocking the road since morning in protest over the 'lockdown' programme, took positions at various places on the Padma Bridge and Dhaka-Khulna highway. The entire road was freed from the blockade around 11:30 am with the help of police and RAB. Officer-in-charge of Padma Bridge South Police Station Golam Rasul said that the situation is now completely under control. Trees and fire debris have been removed from the road. Vehicular movement is normal now.

পদ্মা সেতুর সামনে ঢাকা-ভাঙ্গা এক্সপ্রেসওয়েতে বৃহস্পতিবার সকাল সাড়ে ১০টার দিকে সেতু দিয়ে যানবাহন চলাচল শুরু হয়েছে। একই সঙ্গে ঢাকা-খুলনা মহাসড়কের ফরিদপুরের ভাঙ্গা উপজেলার সুয়াদী বাসস্ট্যান্ড এলাকা থেকেও অবরোধ তুলে নেওয়া হয়েছে। কার্যক্রম নিষিদ্ধ আওয়ামী লীগের অনলাইনে ঘোষিত ‘লকডাউন’ কর্মসূচির প্রতিবাদে সকাল থেকে অবরোধকারী দলটির নেতা-কর্মীরা পদ্মা সেতু ও ঢাকা-খুলনা মহাসড়কের বিভিন্ন স্থানে অবস্থান নেন। পুলিশ ও র‍্যাবের তৎপরতায় বেলা সাড়ে ১১টার দিকে পুরো সড়ক অবরোধ থেকে মুক্ত হয়। পদ্মা সেতু দক্ষিণ থানার ভারপ্রাপ্ত কর্মকর্তা গোলাম রসুল জানান, পরিস্থিতি এখন সম্পূর্ণ নিয়ন্ত্রণে। সড়ক থেকে গাছ ও আগুনের অবশিষ্টাংশ সরানো হয়েছে। যানবাহন চলাচল স্বাভাবিক রয়েছে।
