A bogie of the Dhaka-bound Metropolitan Express train has derailed in Nangalkot, Cumilla. Train movement on the Dhaka-bound line has been temporarily suspended following the incident. The incident occurred around 3:25 pm on Monday, February 16. Nangalkot Railway Station Master Jamal Hossain confirmed the matter. He informed that a middle bogie of the train slightly derailed after it left Hasanpur station. No major accident occurred. However, Dhaka-bound train services have been temporarily suspended as work is underway to place the bogie back on the track. He further informed that train movement on the Chattogram-bound line is normal. Rescue operations have already begun, and it may take some time for train services on the Dhaka-bound line to return to normal.

কুমিল্লার নাঙ্গলকোটে ঢাকামুখী মহানগর এক্সপ্রেস ট্রেনের একটি বগি লাইনচ্যুত হয়েছে। এ ঘটনায় ঢাকামুখী লাইনে ট্রেন চলাচল সাময়িকভাবে বন্ধ রয়েছে। সোমবার (১৬ ফেব্রুয়ারি) বিকেল ৩টা ২৫ মিনিটের দিকে এ ঘটনা ঘটে। নাঙ্গলকোট রেলওয়ে স্টেশন মাস্টার জামাল হোসেন বিষয়টি নিশ্চিত করেছেন। তিনি জানান, ট্রেনটি হাসানপুর স্টেশন ছেড়ে আসার পর মাঝখানের একটি বগি সামান্য লাইনচ্যুত হয়। এতে বড় ধরনের কোনো দুর্ঘটনা ঘটেনি। তবে লাইনে বগি ওঠানোর কাজ চলায় ঢাকামুখী ট্রেন চলাচল সাময়িকভাবে বন্ধ রাখা হয়েছে। তিনি আরও জানান, চট্টগ্রামমুখী লাইনে ট্রেন চলাচল স্বাভাবিক রয়েছে। ইতোমধ্যে উদ্ধার তৎপরতা শুরু হয়েছে এবং ঢাকামুখী লাইনে ট্রেন চলাচল স্বাভাবিক হতে কিছুটা সময় লাগতে পারে।
